JOB SUMMARY:

Set up and operate multi-color sheetfed printing press in accordance with job specifications.

JOB TASKS:

  • Read instructions from job envelope and set up press based on instructions.
  • Make jobs ready by running samples to adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixings.
  • Monitors pH and conductivity of fountain solution on press.
  • Input data daily into the PSI system to indicate paper and ink usage.
  • Complete job envelope to include color, quantity (good vs. scrap), date and initial then forward printed material to appropriate department.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on press such as lubrication, cleaning and minor adjustments to rollers.
  • Work as part of a team and participate in company’s Total Quality Management efforts.
